Africa Investment Conference 2025 in Nairobi

Africa’s Finance Leaders to Gather in Nairobi for Africa Investment Conference 2025

Over 500 leading financiers, policymakers, infrastructure investors, and innovators will convene in Nairobi this December for the Africa Investment Conference (AfIC) 2025, a major event hosted by CFA Society East Africa in partnership with CFA Institute and CFA Societies across Africa, including South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Ghana, and Mauritius.

Scheduled for December 10 to 11, 2025, the conference seeks to reshape Africa’s investment narrative by focusing on one central idea: advancing African capital for African growth.

Africa Investing in Africa

Under the theme “Africa Investing in Africa: Solutions to Challenges,” AfIC 2025 will address three key pillars of transformation:

  1. Removing barriers to intra-African capital flows

  2. Scaling infrastructure and innovation using African models

  3. Strengthening strategic alliances among African nations

With the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) creating a unified market of 1.3 billion people, AfIC 2025 arrives at a defining moment when Africa can convert policy frameworks into real economic prosperity.

“Africa is no longer looking outward for answers. The solutions we need already exist within the continent,” said Francis Nasyomba, CFA, President of CFA Society East Africa. “Ethiopia has mobilized domestic capital to expand infrastructure, Rwanda has leapfrogged through innovation and partnerships, and Egypt has strengthened capacity through sovereign wealth strategies. The success stories are real, and now it’s time to scale them across Africa.”

Unlocking African Capital

AfIC 2025 will draw thought leaders from sovereign wealth funds, development finance institutions, pension funds, capital markets authorities, technology disruptors, and investment promotion agencies. The two-day program will feature expert panels and interactive case studies tackling real-world investment challenges and opportunities across the continent.

Despite global confidence in Africa’s potential, only 16 percent of investments in Africa originate from within the continent. AfIC 2025 aims to change that by exploring how pension funds, insurance pools, diaspora remittances, and blended finance can unlock billions in intra-African capital flows.

The conference will also explore how policy alignment, deeper liquidity in financial markets, and stronger investment ecosystems can drive inclusive and sustainable growth.

Sustainable Finance at the Core

Sustainability will be a central theme at AfIC 2025. As environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards gain importance, African nations are working to balance responsible investing with inclusive development. The conference will highlight innovators driving progress in green bonds, carbon markets, climate resilience, and gender-focused financial inclusion—areas where Africa continues to show leadership despite limited funding.

“AfIC 2025 is more than a conference, it’s a continental call to action,” added Nasyomba. “It’s where African-led ideas, African capital, and African alliances converge to deliver transformative investment outcomes.”

By emphasizing homegrown solutions and scalable investment models, AfIC 2025 aims to define a new growth path for the continent, one that is powered by African capital and collaboration.
