Guinness Brings Premier League Trophy and Unforgettable Matchday Experience to Nairobi
Thousands of fans filled Bar Next Door, Kiambu Road, for a weekend of live football, Premier League glory, and top entertainment.
Guinness, the Official Beer of the Premier League, delivered an electrifying two-day Matchday experience at Bar Next Door, Kiambu Road. The event drew thousands of football fans who came together to celebrate the beautiful game, view the iconic Premier League Trophy up close, and enjoy world-class entertainment.
Held on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, the Guinness Matchday offered fans a rare chance to interact with the authentic Premier League Trophy, a true symbol of football excellence. The venue was transformed into a football haven, complete with massive screens and crystal-clear sound, creating an atmosphere that mirrored the energy of a live stadium.
The experience featured engaging punditry from some of Kenya’s most recognized football voices, including Carol Radull, a proud Arsenal supporter, and Lotan Salapei, a die-hard Manchester City fan. Their spirited analysis and banter brought an extra spark to the viewing experience.
Fans were treated to thrilling Premier League fixtures throughout the weekend. Saturday saw Sunderland defeat Chelsea 2-1, while Brentford stunned Liverpool with a 3-2 victory, their fourth straight loss. Sunday delivered even more drama as Aston Villa edged Manchester City 1-0, and Arsenal claimed a narrow 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. The results reminded everyone why the Premier League remains one of the most competitive and unpredictable leagues in the world.
Beyond the matches, the Guinness Matchday was a celebration of music, community, and culture. Fans enjoyed high-energy performances from Khaligraph Jones and Kodong Klan, alongside powerful DJ sets from Pskratch, Grauchi, Sir M, Mista C, and Daqchild, keeping the crowd entertained long after the final whistle.
