LG Launches High-Efficiency, Design-Driven ARTCOOL Air Conditioner in Kenya
LG Electronics (LG) East Africa has unveiled its premium LG ARTCOOL Air Conditioner in Kenya, entering the market at a time when the country’s residential AC sector is projected to grow by 12.56% in 2025 and 13.17% in 2026.
The strong market outlook is being driven by rising urbanisation, a growing middle class, and increased demand for energy-efficient appliances. Across sub-Saharan Africa, the HVAC sector is expected to surpass $5.23 billion by 2030, according to market research.
Speaking at the Nairobi launch event, Donghun Lee, President of LG East Africa, described the ARTCOOL as a model that combines advanced technology with design excellence.
“This product represents a new era of air conditioning by bringing together the best in technology and aesthetic design in one refined unit. It is built for consumers who value both performance and form,” he said.
At the core of the ARTCOOL is LG’s proprietary Inverter Compressor, which delivers up to 70% energy savings, 40% faster cooling, and ultra-quiet operation. LG is backing the technology with a 10-year compressor warranty, ensuring long-term reliability and low maintenance costs.
The ARTCOOL’s minimalist design, modern finish, and Wi-Fi-enabled smart controls make it an attractive choice for design-conscious, tech-savvy consumers in Kenya. With LG ThinQ smart technology, users can remotely control the unit via smartphone, turning it on or off, adjusting temperature, and monitoring energy usage from anywhere.
Tony Yun, Air Solutions Product Director at LG East Africa, emphasized:
“The ARTCOOL empowers consumers with convenience and control, blending premium performance with smart living.”
The LG ARTCOOL Air Conditioner is now available for purchase on the LG website and at Opalnet retail outlets across Kenya.
